This evening we were reading Galatians 3:1-11 heralded by the famous line ‘You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?’
This is a much stronger insult than it might be viewed as today, and was a very forcible rebuke to his Christian readers who were drifting from the grace of God in the Gospel towards a legalistic form of worship.
In this day and age when the gospel is not necessarily found in all places of worship deemed Christian, and legalism still takes hold of vulnerable consciences even today, the message of the Apostle needs to be heard.
My message is entitled simply: Fools!
